The best expressions for recognizing the outstanding work of an executive or employee
are those that are unique, eye-catching, beautiful, prominently displayed, etc.
A work of art is one way to uniquely reward and honor excellent
performance. The individual selects the work of art and the art is
prominently displayed in an office for all to see and compliment the
recipient for many years.
The Art in Giving program provides the mechanism to offer this unique
recognition program, with the added benefit of allowing the recipient to
select the work of art and enabling a donation to The Rachel Molly
Markoff Foundation.
Art in Giving offers a reward and recognition program for an
organization’s outstanding performers, honors its most valuable clients,
recognizes its volunteers, and at the same time benefits a worthwhile
charitable cause.
The company can also select a work of art to be presented at the recognition proceedings. Or, the company has the option of allowing the work of art to be selected by the recipient by presenting a gift certificate redeemable from one of the SOWA members of Art in Giving. The art is normally an existing work, but it can also be commissioned by the recipient of the award.
The payment for the art is made to Art in Giving which in turn, disperses 50% of the proceeds to the Foundation. The balance is paid to the artist. No funds are retained by Art in Giving.
The distinctive work of art is selected from (or is commissioned to) a select group of artists who are members of the SOWA Artists Guild.
The SOWA members are an eclectic group—from different parts of the world, working in different media, each with a unique approach to creative expression. What they share is dedication to their work and a serious pursuit of artistic quality.
